When you put toothpaste on your acne to dry it out, how long do you leave it there?
Toothpaste?
I did that once. I left it on overnight and it did seem to reduce the amount of time it would normally take for it to go away. However, it was messy! I ended up with a pillow full of toothpaste. I recommend using a face mask rather than toothpaste. You don%26#039;t have to leave it on as long and they usually have different additives that will help all of your skin...rather than just that area.
Retin A is used for wrinkles, however I think it is great to get rid of a problem area IMMEDIATELY! Talk to you dermatologist. Good luck.
Reply:why don%26#039;t you just use rubbing alchol?it dries out ur poors after cleaning.
Reply:you shouldn%26#039;t be putting toothpaste on your acne, it could really irritate your skin. i would recommend using clearasil face wash, clean and clear pads, and clearasil vanishing acne cream. wash your face morning and night and then use the pads and the cream every night. it%26#039;ll disappear like magic
Reply:overnight i suppose
Reply:Hi I%26#039;m Shell. When I use toothpaste I normally put it on at night just like a normal overnight cream for pimples. It really works.
Reply:I%26#039;ve answered this questions before and I will repeat what I said there.
DO NOT put toothpaste on Acne. It is an URBAN Myth, and WIlL not clear acne. In fact, it will make it worse.
Yes, toothpaste placed on the skin will dry it out, but it will dry out your skin SO much, it will increase oil production in your skin and you will break out MORE.
If you really are trying to get rid of acne, PLEASE, spend a couple books and buy a product with Salicyclic Acid. This WILL clear up your acne if you wash your face regularly
Reply:I%26#039;ve heard that you should use toothpaste too. However, toothpaste will only clog your pores in the long run, it%26#039;s not meant to treat acne. Your best bet it getting a cream or gel that%26#039;s sold to be a %26quot;spot treatment%26quot; They work fairly well. Unfortunately, there is NO magic cure for pimples, all you can really do is wash your face twice a day and wait.
Adding a little bit of peroxide to your facial toner can help combat the bacteria that cause acne though, peroxide is the active ingredient in products like Proactiv and the like.
Reply:Acne is a little different than an occasional blemish. If you have acne, you should consult your dermatologist. But for an occasional blemish,,,just a little dab on that area before bed,,,wash off in the morning. Oprah swears by it,,,,and has she ever steared us wrong ,,,, I have used the occasional toothpaste and it works great for me. I would not use it as a facial mask,,,the would irritate your skin.
Reply:yeah don%26#039;t use toothpaste. i%26#039;ve used it, it%26#039;s not that great. youre better off just getting an actual zit cream from the store
