Toothpaste?

since hearing about toothpaste made in china, i%26#039;m worried that clogate (the brand i have) is carrying some of the controversial ingredients. does anyone know if its safe? thanks

i would just be careful to spit it out thoroughly, esp. cuz the glycerine they sold was actually ethylene glycol (the main component in antifreeze), which is in cough drops, toothpaste, stuff like that. i think it%26#039;s sick how we keep importing consumable items from china even though they have no standards to keep the food at.

Reply:Colgate is a terrible company. The products they make contain all kinds of harmful chemicals that are just not good for you. There are alternatives you can buy that are much better. A good brand is Pelu. You can find it in health food stores and it does not contain fluoride or things like laurel sulfate.





Fluoride causes your body to become deficient in iodine. It is one of the most toxic substances you can put in your body. If it goes away in a few hours, you are severely deficient. Every organ in your body needs iodine. The thyroid gland really needs it, but it only uses 3% of all the iodine you ingest.





If you drink fluoridated water or get fluoride treatments from your dentist, stand up and be counted along with the other statistics.
