Toothpaste + acne = burning?!?

I have been really stressed lately so I put toothpaste on my chin where I have been breaking out. I know it dries acne but is it suppose to burn?!

Toothpaste + acne = burning?!?
You shouldn%26#039;t use toothpaste on acne I kno, I%26#039;ve tried it myself, it leaves a scar/mark after it has dried up, You%26#039;re better off washing your face with rubbing alchol than using toothpaste!!!
Reply:yes it probably would, all the toothpaste would do is severely dry out your skin and if you already have dry skin it would burn...or if your blemish is large or open...try an astringent if you want to dry it out...it%26#039;s probably a lil healthier and easier on your skin...
Reply:No. Try Proactiv. It%26#039;ll work alot better for you.
Reply:Use toothpaste as a last resort because toothpaste will also dry out the surrounding area of skin. Try using a product like proactive or seabreeze.
Reply:dont use toothpaste, thats for your teeth, hahha.. whatever in the toothpaste that helps acne has already been incorporated in acne medication. The burning could be the irriation of the acne, if its cyctic or nodules. Try changing the diet.
