Toothpaste leaving film?

over thast past few years i%26#039;ve noticed that when i use whitening toothpaste it leaves a film in my mouth a few hours later. i was wondering if anyone knew why.

Toothpaste leaving film?
Some toothpastes actually have components in them to purposefully leave a film to prevent new buildup and stain on the teeth. Some of my patients actually have had a inflammatory response of the gums with these. Ask your hygienist if you really need a whitener, if you don%26#039;t get much stain you might not. The whitening toothpaste isn%26#039;t usually that effective in whitening the teeth, but just keeping stain away. Best thing to do is to brush 2 times a day for 2 minutes and floss with regular dental cleanings. Maybe even use a power toothbrush, I love my Oral B Braun!

Good luck!
