Help with Kids Toothbrush & toothpaste?

I am looking for a great tasting toothpaste for my 3 1/2 year old son. I think that grownup toothpaste taste is too strong for him ( unless you know of a grownup toothpaste that he would love) Also I am looking for a gental and soft kids toothbrush. He had some dental work done and he needs a soft toothbrush. The one Grandma got him hurts too much!

Thanks!

Jennifer

Help with Kids Toothbrush %26amp; toothpaste?
target has some really good toothbrushes. also they have a bunch of kids toothpastes out there. most are bubblegum flavored. make sure you look on the package to see the softness of the brush. it should say either soft med or hard.

Reply:Get a baby toothbrush (the kind found in the baby section) or one that is marked for 6+ months. As far as toothpaste... we have tried several brands, and now have a different flavor for each of our kids with teeth. Usually ones make for kids are mild. Just watch for the sugar content (yeah, who would have thought they would put THAT in toothpaste???). Flouride-free is also good until they learn how to spit and not swallow the toothpaste.
Reply:My 4 year old loves the cinnamon flavored crest. They have ultra soft tooth brushes pretty much at any store. If you cant find one I would suggest asking the dentist for one.
Reply:I%26#039;ve had trouble with this too. I found a brand in the states (I%26#039;m from canada) that ships anywhere. It is called Melaleuca. They have all kinds of other household products. It is a less chemically based company for better living. They have a toothpaste that the kids really like the taste of. It is a little more expensive but my kids use it all the time and brush their teeth without complaint. They even have tooth brushes designed for kids. Does your dentist give free tooth brushes. They usually have ones designed for kids. I%26#039;d start there. I just looked at adult toothpaste (colgate) and is recommended for age 12+. Hope this helps.
Reply:My kids (especially my 3 yr old) love the strawberry flavor kids colgate. and i got them kids tooth brushes in the normal tooh brush aisle....look for the very soft ones. they are great. Good luck!!
Reply:i have a 4 yr old boy and we get him his own toothpaste with flouride its $4.99. it also comes with a soft brissel tooth brush. when u go into a store go to were the baby products are by the baby balm , baby shampoo, and baby powder it will be right there.
Reply:At any Target, Wal Mart, they have a large selection in the toothpaste/brush isle. Get an infant toothbrush, they are the softest. Children%26#039;s toothbrushes now have an age on them so pick the youngest one. Also all the toothpaste companies have a big selection of flavor with children%26#039;s flavors. Bring your son, read him all the flavors and let him pick. Colgate and crest are around $2.50-$3.00. Some of them even have %26quot;sparkles%26quot; in it. Good luck.
