firstly, i know about the toothpaste trick for getting rid of pimples, but i wanted to know if anyone had found a specific type of toothpaste that worked better then others. also, i have used this trick a lot and though my pimple dries out, it remains pretty red. i care more about reducing/getting rid of the redness then anything, and i have tried the trick of putting red eye relieving drops on it many times without success! could anyone hone in on this areas? perhaps a better way to relieve redness fast? thanks in advance for your answers!
Pimple tricks; toothpaste %26amp; red eye drops?
Use a toothpaste w/out weird flavors (so just like original paste or regular paste). That way you don%26#039;t get additives irritating them. Also check cosmetology schools and spas in the area and see if they have a treatment that %26quot;zapps pimples%26quot; with electrodes. The cosmetology school near my place does this with some of their facial treatments. The pimples are gone in a day or so.
The best thing for redness is to ice them. I remember reading in Teen or Seventeen a few years ago that you could hold a can of pop on a pimple a few minutes if you got one at school. So I think anything cold should help to take down the redness. Also there are green sticks or powders that you can put on the pimple before you put on concealer. The green neutralizes the red color so that you can%26#039;t see the red color through your concealer. The one I had I bought at sephora.
Reply:i heard if u apply ice that should run ur boodflow to that area and help the redness go away.
Reply:yeah ice helps but toothpaste makes it red later on and it burns i heard of people that use rubbing alcohol but its kinda bad for skin; i use clean and clear benzyl peroxide it works
