I know acne sucks and you want to try anything that might help but honestly toothpaste is not the best idea--it will end up doing more harm than good.





Toothpaste will dry out your zits a bit but I%26#039;d try something else-- a 5% benzoyl peroxide treatment or salicylic acid one like Oxy or Clearsil can be bought at the drugstore for under $10 and works much better. Trust me on this.





You should try to prevent future zits by getting into a good skincare routine %26gt;%26gt; cleanse/exfoliate/moisturize then spot treat... there are so many products that would make your skin look and feel better. If you acne is serious go to a dermatologist... trust me on this, you%26#039;ll be MUCH happier. Good luck :)





OH and for the person who suggested Windex... what the heck?! Don%26#039;t even think about it!!! :(

Reply:I use it every now and then! Use a good fluoride toothpaste and leave it on until it dries. It wont hurt your skin no matter how long you leave it one and yes you can use it even if the zit hasn%26#039;t built up yet! Hope this helps---Make sure you don%26#039;t mash on it before you put it on! Then it will irritate it!

Reply:I use the minty kind after I pop my zits. I don%26#039;t think it really works that good....well actually I think it helps dry them out a bit. Try Windex.

Reply:Yes it does work, don%26#039;t use fluoride one, because that%26#039;s bad for you anyways. Leave it on when you%26#039;re sleeping and the next morning it has dried. I always do that and it works.
Reply:Just don%26#039;t use the kind of toothpaste that has hydrogen peroxide in it, because if you leave peroxide on your skin too long it will bleach a white spot on your skin.

u might not wanna try it on any open wounds...it would be like putting alcohol on a fresh cut

Reply:Toothpaste will only dry the outer part of the pimple in the surface, it will come back again. The best way for pimple is Retin A just a small dab on the pimple area.

i suggest taking an asprin, crushing it and mixing it with some water, it has the same ingrediens as the pimple clearing creams and it really works, just leave it for about an hour. =)
