Whenever someone asks how to get rid of a blemish, everyone says to dab toothpaste on it. Does toothpaste work better than drugstore acne cream or do you use it only when you have nothing else?
Does toothpaste work better than counter acne cream?
it has like one tenth the amount of benzol peroxide (the active ingrediant) as a counter acne cream. its definatly just if you have nothing else.
Reply:use over the counter definetly!!
toothpaste is a TOTAL myth. i%26#039;ve tried both.. trust me.
Reply:I have had a skin problem for many years. I thought well if the stuff the doctor gave me isnt working then toothpaste wont!
But I tryed it anyway and it made a BIG difference it sucks the life out of them
Reply:Toothpaste dosent work better than drugstore acne cream. When I use toothpaste it does fade the spot a little bit but makes the skin dry, where as acne creams dont as much.
Reply:Actually using toothpaste to get rid of acne is just a myth I use clearisill and it work great.
Reply:it only works if u have like one pimple if u have more then that it will just dry out ur skin ( =
Reply:I really don%26#039;t know. I would help but I can%26#039;t. I should test it out and tell you my results. If you want to know THAT bad, then you can email me through my profile and I will tell you if it works or not.
Reply:TOOTHPASTE does NOT!!!!!! work. Its a myth.
Reply:well yes it works, but toothpaste is meant for cleaning your teeth. acne cream is meant for getting rid of acne. it does the same thing acne cream does, which is dry out your acne/skin. i mean it doesnt exactly work better. ive washed my face with it before when i start to break out...it made my face feel weird and stingy. its just not really meant for leaving on your face. you could try using both acne cream and toothpaste in conjunction...but yes it does work for some people it wont really hurt anything using it..good luck :)
