u know how ppl say put toothpast on them, but what do u mean not gel. isnt all toothpaste gel? and i was just wonder how its good for pimples? and someone said honey on a band aid with toothpaste should clear a pimple. true or false?
Pimples and toothpaste.?
I%26#039;ve tried all of the home remedies for acne and nothing worked. However, the best thing I have ever come across for pimples is %26quot;Precision - Controle Imperfections%26quot; by Chanel. It%26#039;s about $25-$30 and a small tube will last you 1-2 years. You only need a small drop (like the size of a head of a pin) and use it twice a day. It will clear up my pimples in about 4 days; but when left untreated they usually last for 2 weeks.
Reply:i dont no why you cant put the gel one on but i know that its supposed to be the paste one. honey is good because it draws out the bacteria from a pimple. i dont know about honey nd toothpaste together though. try it nd see. who knows it might work. but if you put toothpaste overnight it dries out the pimple.
Reply:Yes it will clear a little but the consequences are not that good, your skin will became dry. So don%26#039;t do it if I were you.
Reply:no don`t put toothpaste on pimples it only makes it worth.u r better of going to the pharmacy and get something medicated.
Reply:Putting toothpaste on pimples doesn%26#039;t work it%26#039;s just a myth. I was watching a talk-show that said it makes pimples worst because it adds extra sugar to them.
Reply:Don%26#039;t put toothpaste on anything but your teeth!!! I just recently helped this girl who said she put toothpaste on a pimple that was on her nose and the toothpaste burned a mark on her nose. It looked horrible and she needed help to cover it up. Use stuff that is made especially for acne only unless you want to deal with some of the same problems that she did. I suggest you just try to tough it out since you don%26#039;t know how to take care of acne.
Reply:I was never daring enough to try toothpaste on a zit, but I have used a dot of hand soap. Without using water, rub a little hand soap gel into the zit. It tries out the zit overnight and shrinks it down.
This shouldn%26#039;t be used often, but maybe a day or two before an important event, like prom or whatever.
Reply:Don%26#039;t use gel toothpaste. Those don%26#039;t work, that%26#039;s why most pepole say that toothpaste doesn%26#039;t work. Most toothpastes are gel and it%26#039;s hard to find a pasty one.
I%26#039;ve tried both, and gel doesn%26#039;t do anything but smudge all over your face.
Sorry, I don%26#039;t remember which paste one i used. I think it was the one i got from the airplane though :/
Reply:Lol. omg i used to do that but i didnt even know that people knew about stuff like that. Newaysz...IT DONT WORK! try using cucumbers instead.
Reply:NO using toothpaste is not good you need to get something to treat the acme try looking on www.Tolliver.my arbonne .com at the intelligence not so basic product there are pure safe and beneficial ..Ann
Reply:The only problem with toothpaste is that it gets all over your pillow. Its annoying to get off in the morning too because its stuck on your skin real good. I wouldn%26#039;t use the toothpaste method. It didn%26#039;t help me that much.
Reply:absolutly false!!!honey, toothpaste, and bandaids will cog your pores i recommend proactive or if you cant afford it then try acnefree its the same stuff but cheaper
Reply:This natural remedy worked miracles for me: Mayonaise avalcado cucumber oil and sea salt as an exfoliant. Place in a blender or food processor until creamy apply liberaly for about 10 minutes and wash with warm water!
another trick for on the go just smother it with vaseline! i haven%26#039;t tried it but my friend sam says it works well!
Reply:o heard about those things too and Im afraid to try it , it might turn to a even worst look from now
Reply:URBAN MYTH...Tried this remedy in HS and it burned the heck outta my face..I ended up with a dark spot that was worse than the original pimple. Try washing your face and then wet your washcloth with water as hot as you can stand..Squeeze excess water from washcloth and apply it to your face until you feel the cloth cool down. This will help draw the pimple to a head. If you have a urge to squeeze, squeeze with the warm washcloth. That way, you don%26#039;t scar or bruise the skin, and you don%26#039;t transfer bacteria from your hands to the pimple. Then apply an OTC cream overnight. I use something called %26quot;Black and White Ointment%26quot; ...It works for me like a charm.
It%26#039;s a little smelly but it does the trick if you have at least a day to work on the pimple.
Reply:You can use gell and it still works. Ive done it before and its one of the most effective solutions. It works for me overnight and the next morning (if i sleep in it) they are barely noticeable. It is good for them because it dries them up. I know just toothpaste works but im not sure about honey.

Reply:Tooth paste will dry out the pimples. There are many cheap and effective home remedies for pimples. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More

Reply:I%26#039;ve never heard about the honey, but I%26#039;ve heard %26amp; tried the toothpaste. It must be the %26quot;paste%26quot; %26amp; not the %26quot;gel%26quot;. The paste dries out the zit. The gel does not dry very well, it%26#039;s a goopy consistancey and have a few different ingrediants compared to the paste. The gel just smears %26amp; sticks all over your face. The paste stays in place %26amp; dries out the zit.
Reply:the toothpaste thing was a myth. recently dubunked by Allure magazine. And my dermatologist also told me that this myth exists because way back when toothpaste contained primarily salcylic acid. now days most tooth paste on contains too many additives for whitening and tarter control. and if you put on your pimple, it may actually make it worse. unless you have medicine from dermatologist or proactive or something, you are better off crushing up an aspirin and making paste with water.
