Toothpaste on my sidekick. Will it get rid of scratches like on a CD?

My sidekick hit the ground the other day and theres a scratch on the screen. Its bothering the HELL out of me.


I%26#039;ve heard of using toothpaste to get rid of scratches, will it work the same?


The sidekick has hard plastic on it. (When you put pressure on it, that weird color doesn%26#039;t come up like on a computer LCD screen.)


I%26#039;m not using water, so it wouldn%26#039;t cause water damage.





Has anyone done this or know any other ways?





I also have scratches on the silver part that are noticeable, anything I can do for those?

The toothpaste should work. If it is really bad buy a broken sidekick on ebay that looks like it is better and use it for the parts.
