Do you or your cat use toothpaste from China?

DON%26#039;T! It can be deadly!

The FDA is now warning US consumers to avoid any toothpaste and PET TOOTHPASTE made in China and issued an import alert to prevent toothpaste containinG the poisonous chemical %26quot;diethylene glycol%26quot; (DEG), also known as “diglycol” or “diglycol stearate.” from entering the US. One shipment has already been found.

DEG is used in antifreeze and as a solvent. DEG has been known to be deadly to cats in particular. Pets may be drawn to these products due to their flavor.

Consumers should examine toothpaste products for labeling that says the product is made in China. FDA suggests that consumers throw away toothpaste with that labeling. FDA is concerned that these products may contain “diethylene glycol,”

Reply:what in the world is going on with imports from china??????

they are trying to kill us chemically..........

i bought some tea from china and am nervous to drink it........

i think we should boycott all products from there until they are proven safe again....

everything regarding pet foods that is poisonous is from china, i receive the fda notices daily......

now it is also in some type of edible lily from there...

what the heck???????????

in answer to your question, no, we dont, but thanks for the info
Reply:I read about this and the toothpaste is for people and not for cats. The FDA does have a port alert out for the product and I hope this ends soon because they are the ones that had the wheat flour and labeled it and put wheat gluten instead. I don%26#039;t think the US should be getting products from China because they have NO rules about how they set up their products and how they make their food. It needs to stop now. I am getting tried of the china thing that they have NO rules and they need to get their act together before it gets worse. China got caught sending products that were rejected at the port and they sent it back thinking that The FDA would not catch it. We need to STOP THIS.
Reply:After the pet food recall fiasco it is highly unlikely that I will buy anything made in China
