Pimple and toothpaste?

ok i had this red pimple right above my upper lips. today i put some toothpaste on it and a few hours ago i washed it off and scratched off some skin off the pimple. i tried to squeeze the white stuff out but nothing came out except puss. now im going to sleep and wondering if i should still put toothpaste on it over night. i want it to go away. when i put the toothpaste on the pimple it stings a bit.

I%26#039;ve never had anything happen with toothpaste. I think it%26#039;s far better to purchase a pimple cream with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Those are actually medicines, which will kill the bacteria most likely causing the pimple. I like Neutrogna%26#039;s Acne on the Spot (Walmart, Target, Walgreens for about $5), because it%26#039;s got the medicine in it, but isn%26#039;t super irritating and drying (to cut down on the red, peeling, itchy part).

Reply:Never squeeze a pimple, this just causes other pimples. I always put toothpaste on pimples overnight. I never put it on during the day. I just cleanse and moisturize as usual before I go to bed, then put a little dab of toothpaste on it. It should look a lot better in the morning.
Reply:I would put toothpaste on it over night. that way to just make sure it is all the way gone for the next day. and that way u dont have to worry about it as much..
Reply:Toothpaste dries it out. Put it on overnight (even though the skin is open) and wash off with a damp facecloth in the morning. If it is dry, it will heal faster. From then one, peroxyde or rubbing alcohol will keep the fluid from pooling and help the pimple heal faster.
Reply:my stepmom always used to put toothpaste on a pimple overnight. When she woke up the next day the redness went away. Basically, the toothpaste reduces the puffiness %26amp; swelling. Just be careful when sleeping not to roll onto your face. Good luck!
Reply:u need to leave the toothpaste on overnight..it need that much time to dry out. When u wash off the TP , leave the pimple be...don%26#039;t touch it.

Reply:Sorry about the pimple but it%26#039;s a part of life I don%26#039;t know why people like P.Diddy and others be lieing about they are preserving their sexy yeah for the commercials and until they get that makeup on but yeah but make sure it isn%26#039;t too much because then it will try your skin out when you felt it just coming you should have began using it but it is this thing called Clear-Zit it is a dollar and it really work but if it drops on you clothing it bleaches it out I guess that is how strong it is...It will go away...SMILE
