Toothpaste Questions?

OK. I%26#039;ve been looking through the skin section, and I%26#039;ve heard toothpaste can get rid of pimples. I have some pimples my self so I was just wondering:

1. If this really works?

2. How long the treatment would take to get rid of pimples.

3. If it works, what type of toothpaste is best (keep in mind I have sensitive skin)?

Toothpaste Questions?
It helps a little bit, but it doesn%26#039;t work WELL.

It can help a little bit to dry the pimple out, but it does not work nearly as well as other products. It%26#039;s better than nothing, though (it%26#039;s good in a pinch).Try products such as Clearasil cream that are made for acne. If you do want to try using toothpaste on your acne, use a plain ol%26#039; white paste (none of that gel-type paste). Wash it off after a few minutes. You need to be washing your face regularly anyway to manage how oily your face gets.
Reply:Colgate but highly not recommended becasue it has oil I suggest you put nothing but soap and water once a day if it gets worse well nothing just drink alot of olive oil taspoon per day and it will go away in a week try it .
Reply:There is an acetone paste for acne that is sold over the counter in pharmacies it works for me overnight and i think is better than toothpaste.
Reply:I don%26#039;t like using toothpaste to treat pimples because mint irritates my skin.

I prefer to use Desert Essence Blemish Stick as a spot treatment.

Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask has benzoyl peroxide %26amp; clay. It works best as a mask %26amp; can be used where needed.

These home remedies can be used as facial masks or spot treatments:

Aspirin will promote cell turnover %26amp; keep pores clear. Crush 4 - 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Or mix them with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel instead of water. Apply a thin layer to your clean face %26amp; let dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.

Apply a thin layer of plain milk of magnesia, let it dry for 15-20 minutes, rinse off w/ cool water %26amp; a clean wash cloth. Plain milk of magnesia will absorb excess oil %26amp; temporarily tighten pores.
Reply:I never heard of anyone using toothpaste to cure pimples. o.O
Reply:Treat pimples - What I found to work best is when you have any amount of pimples you should steam your face. This opens up the pores. Then wash your face with a good soap that will not dry out your face. If your face is dry your pimples can get irritated and look worse. Then use a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Next, splash cold water on your face. This will close your pores and will help keep dirt out of them. If you want to you can put a little bit more rubbing alcohol on. There is a more effective and immediate solution though.

Use a hot compress on it (a washcloth, sponge, or anything that will allow you to apply moist heat to the area), and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, rinse it with warm water, blot off the excess water with a clean towel, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

And use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash 60 Second Mask Scrub:
