i put toothpaste on overnight to get rid of acne and when i got up where i put toothpaste it got burnt

Then don%26#039;t use that toothpaste, when putting it on acne your only supposed to do a test spot first to make sure it doesn%26#039;t irritate your skin, also it depends on what kind you are putting on, you are not supposed to use the gel kind, just regular toothpaste, colgate was the brand I read somewhere to use.
