Toothpaste To Remove Screen Scratches?

I just got my brand new psp on friday and it has some scratches on it already! I FREAKED OUT!! I read on the internet that you can use toothpaste to remove most of the scratches... Is it true? Does it matter what kind of toothpaste?

Toothpaste To Remove Screen Scratches?
Yeah I wouldn%26#039;t suggest toothpaste because the paste would ruin the keys and the brush (if you%26#039;re going to use one) will scratch the skin more. I suggest that if you just bought the PSP then I would mail the psp back and let them give you a new one. It works if you didn%26#039;t scrtch it and it came like that. but if you scratched it I would try to softly use a coth and rubb on the screen, then add a bit of a window spray, last get a travler%26#039;s case and prevent more scratches
Reply:i know that toothpaste sometimes works with DVDs but im not sure with PSPs. we used rubbing alchohol to remove scratches on our DVD. after that the movie worked fine. so i suggest try using it on ur psp. but keep it away form the keys or any exposed wiring.
Reply:Just a little.

If they are small scratches, then it will make it less visible.

Don%26#039;t use too much paste and use a soft cloth to clean up the screen.

And for the brand, just make it minty fresh, like mine :)
Reply:Well toothpaste has small abrasives in it that’s how it cleans your teeth, and sometimes scratches. Try it first in a small area with a soft cloth and a little toothpaste. It is probably better to use a car or paint polish that way you know it has less of a chance hurting the screen. also make sure you don’t rub too hard or you can burn the plastic.
