Does toothpaste go "bad" or "stale"?

I have two sample size tubes of Rembrandt Whitening Toothpaste, that are dated %26#039;EX0906%26#039; on the box. I would really like to use the toothpaste, as it is an expensive brand, and I need the whitening part too (TMI, I know! :).

But does toothpaste go bad or stale? Could I get sick from using %26quot;expired%26quot; toothpaste? Or does the effectiveness decrease, do you think?

Thanks for your answers!

P.S. I tried calling the number for the company on the box, and they are closed. I have had these boxes by the phone all week, and I never have a chance to call during the week. I would like to use the toothpaste today.

Does toothpaste go %26quot;bad%26quot; or %26quot;stale%26quot;?
not often but some time water or other thing can get in to them make them go bad or on health i suggest if you feel this has happen to get a new one %26gt;
Reply:after a long time it does
Reply:Taste it and see if it is still minty. if so then its good :)!
Reply:if you keep it for like 5 yrs it dose and if you leave the cap off for a long time it get hard and you cant use it
Reply:Well, it%26#039;s not that bad, looking from the date. For one thing, you%26#039;re not going to swallow it anyway. Now if you%26#039;ve had it for 10-25 years, then maybe.
