Can my toothpaste make me cough?

I%26#039;ve been coughing a lot lately. It comes and goes, but my throat is really tender and irritated now. I feel like I am coughing more now and it is getting worse. I saw my doctor and he gave me a liquid medicine. The medicine seemed to work and I was coughing less frequently, but now that I am off the medicine, the cough is back again. So, I don%26#039;t know what%26#039;s happening to me! (I never coughed like this before!) I bought a new toothpaste (Crest Pro. Health) four weeks ago and that is about the same time the coughing started. It%26#039;s an expensive toothpaste and it%26#039;s been out in the market just for a few months. Can the toothpaste cause me to have this reaction? In general, do toothpastes have anyside effects? If so, is cough one of them?

Thanks,

Can my toothpaste make me cough?
I can%26#039;t make a comment on your cough, but I can tell you my experience with Crest Pro Health.

After using it for a couple of weeks, I started getting a sort of mucus like substance on my gums and inner cheeks.

I stopped the Crest Pro Health and went back to my regular brand and in a few days this problem disappeared.

That%26#039;s my experience with this toothpaste...so anything is possible.

I%26#039;d stop using it and see what happens...you have nothing to lose.

Good Luck!
