i use colgate total whitening paste toothpaste with the ADA thing on the tube %26amp; i have braces.
will the toothpaste actually change the color of my teeth? cuz i don%26#039;t wanna have a brace pattern on my teeth when i get them removed.
but i read it will only take surface stains off. is that true?
i asked my ortho and he said it would be okay but he said if i didn%26#039;t wanna take the chance then to just use a regular one.
i wanna keep using that toothpaste cuz it seems effective %26amp; really good for your teeth.
soooo... do you think i should stop using it cuz it will change my teeth color? or it would be okay and my teeth will look fine? i use the toothpaste 2 times a day. in the morning and at night.
thankssssss! 10 points to best answer!
Whitening toothpaste?
Whitening tooth paste will generally only maintain the whiteness of your teeth and only slightly lighten them. You probably won%26#039;t see much of a difference from the tooth paste, but the places that the braces are bonded to may have some discoloration after they are removed showing white spots.
Keep using it, it probably won%26#039;t do much.
