Question about toothpaste?

I have used Pepsodent and Listerine toothpaste, and both leave a strange feeling in my mouth sometimes. The area between my gums and my lips feels dry-ish, like there%26#039;s rubbing alcohol in the toothpaste. Is there any toothpaste that doesn%26#039;t do that? Has that ever happened to anyone else? What ingredient makes it do that?

Question about toothpaste?
It%26#039;s the alcohol in them. The same way that Listerine can actually GIVE YOU bad breath. When your mouth is dried out and is not producing acid neutralizing saliva, it allows a hayday for bacteria, that may cause bad breath. Don%26#039;t stop using Listerine yet. It%26#039;s great as a one-shot a day killing in the morning or PM to kill germs before you sleep or when you wake up. Both times that food particles not rinsed away or stuck between teeth that brushing may miss. If you%26#039;re concerned though, try Crest mouthwash that is alcohol free. Also, same for the toothpaste. Though I personally use Colgate whitening (OK, so I%26#039;m a little vain about my teeth!) About your lips feeling dry, when you go to the dentist, your lips can get the same way, stretching out your mouth and doing work in there. It%26#039;s the same with brushing teeth. Just dab a lip moisturizer on before and it will feel much better. (Like some Dentists use Vaseline)
Reply:Dabar ka dabar lal dund manjan
Reply:Yes, I feel this way with a toothpaste called %26quot;Pearl Drop%26quot;, it%26#039;s for teeth-whitening. My favourite toothpaste is Colgate Whitening Gel, it%26#039;s fresh and great.
Reply:Try some toothpaste which is natural and mentioned over that as Vegetarian, for ex Babool.
Reply:It%26#039;s the alcohol in the toothpaste that%26#039;s giving you a dry feeling. Also, avoid buying toothpaste that has the ingredient SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) in it. This ingredient is carcinogenic (cancer causing) and it%26#039;s just there to make foam.
Reply:you have to try to look for toothpaste which does not contain the alcohol. try colgate or oral b toothpaste. the most important content you should look for when buying toothpaste is the fluoride content in it. it should contain at least 1500 ppm of fluoride. stannous fluoride to be effective. most of the toothpaste sold in the market conatin more of the flavoring which only last for minutes after brushing.
Reply:just try diff´t brands

the most important thing is that the paste contains fluoride in sufficient levels to prevent decay
