Toothpaste question?

I was researching toothpaste for a project, and it said that lauryl sulfates in toothpastes can cause irritation. What do they mean? Itching? Pain?

Toothpaste question?
My guess would be sore red, sore gums and maybe tongue.
Reply:Pain in your teeth can be from dehydration of the enamel, sulfates have such properties.

It is a tingling type pain.

Every single person will not have a reaction(CAN CAUSE).

the substance is used as a citrus type binding agent which adds properties to allow certain things to mix or hold together. Not all things like to be mixed with each other, and it will allow a chemical bonding when a mechanical one is not processable
