Dog Toothpaste?

so... i was giving my dog a bath and i usually brush his teeth when i do this, but i couldnt find his dog toothpaste, so i thought, why not use human toothpaste. so, i did. do you think this is bad for him?

Dog Toothpaste?
Yes, because he won%26#039;t understand that it%26#039;s poisonous and he should rinse and spit, not swallow.
Reply:no but dont use it all the time i think doggy toothpaste has nutriants in it human toothpaste doesnt
Reply:LOLLLLLLLLLLLL does he have brighter than white teeth now? Why don%26#039;t you put him on a doggie advert showing off his nice white teeth!
Reply:human tooth paste can be posinous to dogs so it is not a good idea
Reply:It%26#039;s not great for him, but it won%26#039;t cause him any real damage. Human toothpaste is designed to be spit out, since it is mildly poisonous. However, most kinds are also designed with the common sense that sometimes people swallow a little, and kids swallow a lot, so as long as you only use the designated amount, there shouldn%26#039;t be any issues.
Reply:Always use a specially formulated dog toothpaste. Because dogs can%26#039;t rinse and spit after a brushing, the dog toothpaste must be safe for pets to swallow! Some human toothpastes contain detergents which can irritate pets%26#039; stomachs, and, in addition, large quantities of ingested fluoride can harm pets.
