Is ultrabrite whitening toothpaste safe?

I read online in consumer reports saying that Ultrabrite Whitening Toothpaste is the best whitening toothpaste and it actually works. Many other people have also said that it has good results and I am willing to try it out. However, I also heard from some people that it has abrasives that can destroy the enamal on your teeth. Is this true? Should I use this toothpaste or no? What other whitening products are safe and work really well?

Some of the whitening pastes out there are abrasive. They will detsroy your teeth espically if you are brushing the wrong way (you want to brush in circles and get rid of hard brushes!) They do have a sensitivity whitening paste out on the market you might want to try!
Reply:I%26#039;ve tried them and don%26#039;t see a significant difference that would persuade me to continue. Personally, I prefer the dentist rather wasting money on the whitening toothpaste or strips.

Here is an article I found that could help:

Here is the scoop on tooth whitening tooth paste:

Basics:

The idea with whitening tooth paste is that the active whitening ingredient is applied to your teeth every time you brush. An example brands is Colgate Platinum.

Pros:

Tooth whitening tooth paste is relatively low in cost, easy to purchase, and may be a viable maintenance approach to tooth whitening.

Cons:

The active whitening ingredient just isn%26#039;t exposed to your teeth long enough to achieve significant whitening. It can%26#039;t be depended on to make progress on teeth that are already discolored but is best at maintaining the shade you already have. Beware of claims of dramatic or fast results.
Reply:Teeth whitening are good just that you have to know if you%26#039;re teeth can support it. I was using whitening toothpaste and just found out that most of my enamel on my teeth are gone which sucks so now I have to use this gel to protect them. So yeah, my rant is over but I%26#039;m just saying stay away from anything that has the word %26quot;whitening%26quot; in it.
