people say that if u put toothpaste on your face your pimples will go away, but i dont know how!:-p i know it sounds kinda dumb but can anyone tell me how. also if you know any other ways to get rid of pimples please tell me!!!
Toothpaste on the face!!!!?
they say that if u put toothpaste like colgate (the regular one) overnight the pimples get dried up. i tried that it dint exzactly work.
i recommend u dont put toothpaste.
to make pimples go away 1. wash your face twice daily with a medicated acne wash.
2. drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water
3. exercising also helps a lot.
4. u can also try using benzyol peroxide.
5. Dont touch ur face.
6. dont let hair on your face.
7. cleanse your face before u go to bed.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think so.Washing the face with cold water and with mild face wash regularly may reduce pimples.
Reply:wash you face
Reply:Toothpaste on your pimples won%26#039;t work. A lot of those %26#039;quick fix%26#039; fads that are sold and advertised don%26#039;t work either. If you have bad acne you may need to go and see a dermatologist, who will most likely prescribe you a treatment. If this not an option, try buying something with benzyl peroxide in it. You should also maintain a healthy diet and drink a lot of water. I also suggest using Neutrogena Deep Clean face wash, which works wonders. Good luck :D
Reply:any type of mint effect will heal the pimples,i did try and is very effective, but apply it with little water so as to make it little dilute or will leave that part oif the skin very dry
Reply:No !
It will never work.
Reply:i saw on the tyra banks show and read in a magazine that getting aspirin and crushing it and adding lemon juice to make a thick paste works.
Reply:BIG NO NO!!!!!!

On the news, (i live in Oklahoma) the said that some of the ToothPaste that was made in China and in other area had %26quot;pestisides%26quot; in it. Did anyone else hear about this? I checked mine and it come from the USA. Please share any info about this situation....Thanks
ToothPaste Question???
It has been on TV,local news(radio and TV) and 60 minutes did a piece on this problem.
Colgate is the brand that is fraudulent and faulty!
No where does it say made in the USA or endorsed by the American Dental Society/Association.
All where purchased in cheap discount stores (for the present time) such as %26quot;family dollar, dollar stores%26quot;.
An ongoing problem, recalled and to be destroyed. Not the first nor do they expect it to be the last time it happens.
* Remember the scare w/pet foods, snacks, now this!
Check your local TV web sites under health or recalls ; news should be there to read.
It will teach us the hard way, cheap isn%26#039;t always the choice nor should we forget to read the labels.

FDA Advises Consumers to Avoid Toothpaste From China
FDA Detains One Contaminated Shipment, Issues Import Alert
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today warned consumers to avoid using tubes of toothpaste labeled as made in China, and issued an import alert to prevent toothpaste containing the poisonous chemical diethylene glycol (DEG) from entering the United States.
DEG is used in antifreeze and as a solvent.
Consumers should examine toothpaste products for labeling that says the product is made in China. Out of an abundance of caution, FDA suggests that consumers throw away toothpaste with that labeling. FDA is concerned that these products may contain %26quot;diethylene glycol,%26quot; also known as %26quot;diglycol.%26quot;
FDA is not aware of any U.S. reports of poisonings from toothpaste containing DEG. However, the agency is concerned about potential risks from chronic exposure to DEG and exposure to DEG in certain populations, such as children and individuals with kidney or liver disease. DEG in toothpaste has a low but meaningful risk of toxicity and injury to these populations. Toothpaste is not intended to be swallowed, but FDA is concerned about unintentional swallowing or ingestion of toothpaste containing DEG.
FDA has identified the following brands of toothpaste from China that contain DEG and are included in the import alert: Cooldent Fluoride; Cooldent Spearmint; Cooldent ICE; Dr. Cool, Everfresh Toothpaste; Superdent Toothpaste; Clean Rite Toothpaste; Oralmax Extreme; Oral Bright Fresh Spearmint Flavor; Bright Max Peppermint Flavor; ShiR Fresh Mint Fluoride Paste; DentaPro; DentaKleen; and DentaKleen Junior. Manufacturers of these products are: Goldcredit International Enterprises Limited; Goldcredit International Trading Company Limited; and Suzhou City Jinmao Daily Chemicals Company Limited. The products typically are sold at low-cost, “bargain” retail outlets.
Reply:There was a news segment that said don%26#039;t buy toothpaste at dollar stores because it might have come from China and other countries that don%26#039;t have our standards. They said if your toothpaste is from the US or Canada then it%26#039;s ok.
Reply:i think other toothpaste contains harmful ingredients that can impair health. if you want to have a an oral care product that you can make as daily oral routine that is safe and effective in cleaning the mouth, teeth and gums consider this link http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com

Toothpaste burn?
I had a huge break-out on my forehead and my friend told me to apply toothpaste overnight. I can%26#039;t believe I listened to her!!!
Now I have a huge dry patch on my forehead. The acne is still there, but it%26#039;s not raised, so I can%26#039;t get rid of it. And the skin around it is dry and leathery and pink. [just the top layer though]
I exofiliate twice a day, apply vitamin E gel from the soft capsules, eat a flaxseed and vitamin E capsule everyday, and it doesn%26#039;t seem to be getting a whole lot better. It%26#039;s been two days.
What can I do and how long will this last??? I%26#039;m so embarrassed! I%26#039;ve been wearing my bangs down to cover up my forehead but you can still tell that the skin is really bad right now.
Toothpaste burn?
Lol, I am sure you are a teen ager having the prob as opthers. Its natural. But still you must consult some dermatologist, instead of getting help from other unreliable sources.
Best luck!!
Reply:have you tried applying some foundation to the affected area or atleast some consealer
Reply:Toothpaste does dry out pimples. Just cover it with makeup until it goes away. Also, try cocoa butter.
Reply:toothpaste does work try some makeup or something to put over it and im sure u cant tell with ur bangs down
Reply:You could try putting aloe vera gel on it. I love that stuff, it makes burns feel cool and it helps them heal. You can buy it at a drugstore or grocery stores like QFC and Safeway.

Toothpaste on pimples?
Nope, works great for me. It can burn for a minuet, but not long. The models do it.

Reply:Acne %26amp; blackheads Home Remedies
1. Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies.
2. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne.
3. Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.
4. Place strawberry leaves on the acne, the alkalinity helps to reduce the swelling.
5. Extract juice of one lemon and mix with equal quantity of rose water. Apply this mixture on the face and let it stay for about half an hour. Wash the face with fresh water. About 15 days application helps cure acne, pimples and reduces blemishes and scars.
6. Another method is to massage the face with the skin of lemon before washing with lukewarm water.
7. Apply fresh mint juice over the face every night for the treatment of acne, pimples, insect stings, eczema, scabies, %26amp; other skin infections.
8. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. At least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables should be included in your diet. All acne home remedies should include a healthy diet.
9. A couple of garlic cloves, crushed and dabbed on the face 1-2 times a day. One of the smellier acne home remedies!
10. Home face wash for acne: Mix together 1 or 2mls each of the following: witch hazel, tea-tree and sweet fennel essential oils, adding essential oil of geranium for women and essential oil of rosewood for men. Mix with 300mls of water. Shake before use, as the oils will float on top of the water during storage. Dab affected areas with cotton wool two or three times a day. The oils will clean and unclog giving antibiotic-like protection to the skin.
Reply:I have tried this at home remedy. Dried my skin, but didn%26#039;t help the pimples. Best thing I have found is tea tree oil from the body shop. Has not irritated or dried my skin out. The zit is gone in two days. If you put the stuff on it, just when it starts to hurt. It will never develop, just disappear.
Reply:NOPE dont use toothepaste it%26#039;s not good for ur pimples and leaves scars but instead crush asprin and use that on the pimple it works :)
Reply:Keep the toothpaste on the pimple for 5 minutes maximum, otherwise it will burn the skin badly.
Reply:Please don%26#039;t use toothpaste! I listened to my friend and dabbed a tiny amount and covered it with a bandage overnight. When I woke up, my pimple had swollen and the skin around it was all scabby and gross.
Basically, it%26#039;s a total MYTH that toothpaste works. The chemicals in toothpaste are meant to kill everything on your teeth, why on earth would you put that on your face which has delicate skin?
Reply:as Kailey B mentioned, toothpase does not work. They talked about it on Tyra Banks show when Allure magazine editor was on. She said it is a total myth and that there are now so many chemicals in toothpaste these days that it will actually dry your skin out and probably make it worse.
a better method is to take regular old aspirin. crush it up and then drop some water on it to make a paste. Apply that to the zit. the salsylic acid in aspirin is much better at fighting zits.
Reply:I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer better then fifteen times. Often, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I%26#039;ll copy and paste it below.
Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Toothpaste Dilemma.?
I have been using Mentadent for a few years now. However, my intuition%26#039;s telling me that possibly I should switch to another product, such as Colgate. Even though I floss and brush twice (sometimes 3 times a day.. depending on what I ate), I feel Mentadent is not doing the %26#039;job%26#039; on my teeth, hence I noticed a cavity forming in my back molar. So my question is.. which toothpaste do YOU think is better?
Toothpaste Dilemma.?
As long as the toothpaste contains fluoride then it is a good toothpaste. Mentadent is not your problem. You need to brush for 2 minutes everytime and floss once every day. Also try using an over the counter fluoride rinse every night after brushing, before bed to prevent cavities. Many things cause cavities most likely your diet, how soon you brush after eating, how often you brush, and sometimes cavities occur because when your teeth formed little spaces were left open, making them more prone to cavities.
The best thing to do is buy ACT (or store brand) fluoride rinse and use before bedtime. Follow the directions. Your tooth may remineralize and the cavity may go away if it is not large. Also try buying xylitol gum/mints/breath spray from your dentist%26#039;s office and use after eating to prevent cavities. Have your dentist evaluate your teeth to see if you really have a cavity or if it is just a stain. A dental hygienist thought I had a cavity forming and after she used %26quot;diagnodent%26quot; she was wrong and it was just a stain. Diagnodent is a specialized instrument that can detect cavities that may not even be visible.
Reply:I like Mentadent too, but it%26#039;s way too expensive....
I use Colgate Total.
Reply:never use bi carb as its disgusting
Reply:NONE of them. Look at the ingredient and do some research, you wont believe what kind of POISON stuff are in it. Instead, go to a Health Food Store, I personally use JASON Pure, Natural, Organic Toothpaste.
Reply:I use Colgate! It has a grat protection against cavities/bad breath..and so on. I would definately switch toothpaste%26#039;s to whichever one you prefer, and/or whichever one you would think could do the job!!
Reply:Any toothpaste that has the required level of sodium flouride would be good enough. There is no point spending alot of money on expensive toothpastes.
Cavities form due mostly to poor diet(sugary diet such sweets, chocolate and biscuits) . Frequency of consumption as well. Maintain your current levels of oral hygiene and have a good diet and you should be ok. But first of all if you think there is a cavity please go see a dentist first.
Reply:I would ask your dentist. He or she knows best. I use Aquafresh Kid%26#039;s because it taste good. But it does not really help bad breath! I also like this one: Colgate MaxFresh it has breath strips in it that helps the bad breath smell and has plenty of flouride to help prevent cavities. I hope this helps.

Soak in the tub for a while until the toothpaste softens.
Reply:i dont know..........brush it in the shower?
Reply:keep washing it? alot of conditioner
Reply:thats really weird. you should have rinsed ur hair with cold water first. just keep washing it
Reply:are you sure it%26#039;s toothpaste and not gum? Toothpaste isn%26#039;t really hard to get out at all, especially with water.
Reply:ohh yes always fun at those sleepovers..except when your the one to fall asleep ;p..i would try useing dish washing liquid...i know its sounds crazy..but it can manage to get alot of things out of your hair!
Reply:take a longer shower, rub your hair while it is in the water, it will come out.
Reply:Take a shower with hot water and use alot of shampoo

Reply:Maybe putting some oil on your hair. like olive oil
Reply:just washing your hair a few times should work(scrubbing it good) and after that break into all thier houses and do it to them but instead of toothpaste use 5 peices of gum per person
Reply:Soak your hair in like a bucket or something...then get someone to comb like every peice and it should start to come offf...? Is it like hard stuck like gum?
