Quick, to all the chemists out there.





Is toothpaste effective in removing rust in objects?


Like, a rusted pencil case?





What is the component of toothpaste that can remove rust?


Any variants you can suggest that will do better? (whitening, etc etc)

Toothpaste is an abrasive, and can be used to remove light rust, or marker on glass.





There are chemicals used to deal with rust on cars, but these could be dangerous for casual use.
