Toothpaste facial ?

okay so i have acne and i was wondering ..

if you can put toothpaste on a pimple or blemish and it would clear it up, (i%26#039;ve done it, it works for me) could i use the toothpaste as a facial and put it all over my face then wash it off after like a half hour ?

Toothpaste facial ?
no, don%26#039;t do that.

it will dry your face out too much. the reason why you get pimples is because when you over-wash your face, scrub it, get facials, and then do NOT put on a thin layer of lotion afterwards, your skin is too dry. the skin starts producting more oil to make up for what you%26#039;ve just drained out, and then pimples form.

use a neutrogena facial wash, and when you%26#039;re done, put on a little lotion- any kind. i use st. ives. and then don%26#039;t put any makeup on til the next day.
Reply:try it
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t recommend it, it might dry up the good skin and make it flaky.
Reply:ive tried that before.

it worked a little.

you dont want to do it too much or your skin will become too dry, so it will start producing more oil, causing more break outs.

you shouldnt do it more than once a week.

good luck! : )
Reply:My friend did that and it messed up her skin. Her face started peeling and looked wrinkly looking and burned. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend it.
Reply:Just put the toothpaste on ALL of your blemishes and pimples for like 1 minutes then wash it off. Also you can go to like shoppers or any drug store and get a facial scrub to put on for like 1 minute every night and it will clear it up!!! another thing, if it is really bad try Proactiv Solution!!
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t try it because it might make the skin flaky and irritated. I would use it on spots on acne rather than immersing my whole face in it. It will dry your entire face out and it will be red for a while. I would suggest either getting something over the counter or going to a dermatologist.
