Toothpaste on pimples?

I have this massive blind pimple in between my eyebrows thats slightly red. I have put a small layer of toothpaste over it, and despite everyone saying it hurts really bad i dont feel anything. I%26#039;m using the standard colgate one that everyone uses. Does this mean my skin will be tough enough to handle the toothpaste from overdrying?

(I%26#039;ve put a fair amount on, its like a small layer of white)

Toothpaste on pimples?
I used to do that all of the time. It drys the pimple up. Now I use clearsil ( spelled wrong prob) spot treatment for acne.
Reply:use toothpaste on your teeth. use salycylic acid on zits. see a dermatologist for long term treatment.
Reply:no, if you don%26#039;t feel anything that just means you didn%26#039;t wash your face first and there is a small layer of grease between the pimple and the toothpaste. wash your face first, then dab the tp on.
Reply:This is going to sound stupid, but visine takes the red out, and the toothpaste--not gel--will dry them up. So will witch Hazel.
Reply:i did this once.......it worked so well, i thought I would put on another layer and the without me feeling a thing, the chemicals in the toothpaste burnt through my skin and that looked far worse than the pimples

I also like to use tea tree oil on zits (melecula)
Reply:Three factors contribute to the formation of pimples (acne). These are an overproduction of oil (sebum), irregular shedding of dead skin cells resulting in irritation of the hair follicles of your skin, and the build up of bacteria.

Acne occurs when the hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Each follicle is connected to sebaceous glands. These glands secrete an oily substance known as sebum to lubricate your hair and skin. Sebum normally travels up along the hair shafts and then out through the opening of the hair follicle onto the surface of your skin. When your body produces an excess amount of sebum and dead skin cells, the two can build up in the hair follicle and form together as a soft plug. This plug may cause the follicle wall to bulge and produce a whitehead, a blackhead and pimples.

Avoid picking or squeezing acne, as this can rupture the pimple and may lead to scarring. Use products that have been specially designed for acne-prone skin.

I suggest trying AcneDerm wash together with AcneDerm medicated lotion, a complete anti-bacterial acne treatment that clears the skin by fighting bacteria and unblocking oil ducts. The anti-inflammatory lotion also reduces redness and dries up pimples fast. It%26#039;s available in Pharmacies, and leave the toothpaste for cleaning teeth. Hope that helps.
Reply:Toothpaste is named so because it is applied to the tooth. Why not use a paste or cream that is purposely for pimples. Don%26#039;t just anything on your pimples or you might get the wrong result. Maximum Teeth Whitening is a good choice when you are looking for a good brand of toothpaste to whiten teeth.
